Privacy policy

Who we are

Future Proof Ltd is a small New Zealand business, based in Tauranga, that builds sales funnels for local businesses. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, and what you can do about it. It follows the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.

What we collect

• When you request a free video audit: your first name, email address, business name, website or Facebook page, how your enquiries come in, and anything you tell us about your business.
• When you message our Facebook Page or email us: your name, contact details and whatever you send us.
• When you visit our pages: basic technical information such as pages viewed, device and browser, collected through cookies and the Meta pixel (see below).

How we use it

• To prepare and send your video audit, and reply to your questions.
• To send you a small number of follow-up emails about your audit and our services. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
• To send you a quote and deliver our services if you become a client.
• To understand which of our posts and ads work, and to show our ads to people likely to find them useful.

We only collect what we need for these purposes. We don't sell your information.

Cookies and the Meta pixel

Our pages use cookies and the Meta pixel, a small piece of code from Meta (the company behind Facebook and Instagram). It tells us when someone views a page or requests an audit, so we can measure our ads and show them to relevant people. Meta may combine this with information it already holds about you, under its own privacy policy. You can control the ads you see in your Facebook ad preferences, and you can block or clear cookies in your browser settings.

Who we share it with

We use trusted service providers to run the business. They store or process information on our behalf, and some are based outside New Zealand:

• Systeme.io for our pages, forms and emails
• Google Workspace for our email
• Meta for our Facebook Page, Messenger and ads
• Loom for recording and sharing your video audit
• Netlify for hosting our website

We choose providers that protect personal information to standards comparable to New Zealand's. We may also share information if the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep your information while it's useful for the purposes above. If you don't become a client, we delete audit request details within two years. Client records are kept as long as required for tax and business records.

Your rights

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email hello@getfutureproof.co.nz and we'll respond within 20 working days. You can unsubscribe from our emails at any time using the link at the bottom of any email.

If you're not happy with how we've handled your information, please talk to us first. You can also complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz.
